It is actually Fall, but you wouldn't know it. The weather has been kinda crazy here in Ohio and my flowers are confused. Well, my obedient plant has finally bloomed after years of being planted and never coming up. It is funny because I totally forgot about it because it never came up and when I saw it.....it took me forever to figure out what it was (lol). Isn't it beautiful?

Thought I would share some of my pictures with all of you. My MIL made this little finch feeder for me a couple years ago and I love it and so does the finches!

Aren't they so pretty? I love the bright yellow feathers!!
Here is my garden guy that I have in one of my flower beds. Isn't he cute?

I normally put bird seed in his box, but I have also lined it before and planted some flowers!

I love this close-up that I took of Mr. BumbleBee. He was flying from flower to flower on my Lamb's Ear and this was the best picture that I was able to get.

A Very Special Flower

I love this dainty and beautiful colored flower. I noticed after I took the picture, uploaded it to my camera that it has a heart in the middle of the flower. Can you see it? It is a pretty special flower because right beside where it is planted is a memory stone for our baby that we lost back in 2004. A beautiful sign in such a pretty flower!

Wide Array of Colors

There are so many different flowers and so many different colors, but I always find myself leaning towards the pinks and purples. I guess they are some of my favorite colors. Here are some more of my flowers that are in bloom.

I don't normally have alot of annuals, but when I do, I tend to lean towards good old petunias. They are easy to grow and they come in a wide array of colors. Isn't this one so pretty?
Here is my cat mint that is in full bloom. I love this stuff!! If it blooms, then you cut it back and it will come right back. You don't need to worry about cutting it back and then having it come back next year...... it normally grows back rather quickly! You constantly have color and I like it because it is rather tall. Perfect for covering up those unsightly gas meters on the side of your home.
I just planted this lavender this year. It is right next to my cat mint, but like I have said several times "I love purple and they are both different shades". Isn't it pretty?

This little mushroom is the perfect accent for any garden. Don't you just love it? It also holds a little bit of water so the birds can stop by for a drink.

Here is my Sweet Woodruff in my front flowerbed. I love these tiny white flowers and the bright green leaves. It is a real pretty and dainty ground cover.

Here are some pictures that I took at The Columbus Zoo yesterday. They had such beautiful flowers in bloom and even a couple trees that I thought were so pretty. My favorite is the Redbud tree - gotta love those beautiful flowers on the redbud tree! The bright pinkish purple flowers are so bright and I can definitely spot a redbud from far away!

Spring is here today, but it may be gone tomorrow. The weather here in Ohio is definitely touchy to say the least. Yesterday it was cold, rainy and dreary and today it is suppose to be warm and sunny. Ahhh, nothing better then a nice and warm sunny day. My FIL and husband put up a storm door on the back of the house last night and it looks GREAT. I am just so anxious to be able to open the door and lift up that window to let some fresh air in. Hopefully soon I will be able to do that. Anyway, as much as I would like to say that these deer are in our backyard.... I have to admit that they are not. These deer are actually in my parents backyard. They come right up to the back of their condo, but of course as I got closer to take a picture, some of them ran off. Well, here are some pictures for you to enjoy.... hopefully SPRING has arrived for you and decided to stay!

A Beautiful Double Rainbow

We had a pretty bad storm here in Ohio the other day. It was pouring down the rain and so windy that I thought I was going to get blown away. Luckily I didn't. Shortly after it stopped raining, the sun came out and that is when I saw this beautiful double rainbow. It was so bright and beautiful and to be honest..... the pictures don't do it justice. This weekend warmed up quite a bit here in Ohio and we were pretty happy about it. It has been so cold, snowy and icy so we were happy to have mid 40's. Last night the temperatures went down quite a bit and we had heavy frost when we woke up this morning. I posted some pictures of my weeping cherry tree that was covered with frost. Could it mean that spring is just around the corner? Oh - I am hoping so!!

Feeding the Birds

My son and I decided to feed the birds today. We had some bread that was a bit stale so we decided to crumb it up and take it out back for the birds. Well, we did just that and we had quite a few visitors for lunch today. Take a look at some of these great pictures!! Cameron was looking out the back door the other day and was yelling "bunny, bunny" I thought to myself that he didn't know what he was talking about, but went to go see. I peaked out the back door and right there at the corner of our deck was Cameron's Bunny Rabbit Friend. He may be cute, but during the summer he can be awfully pesky when he eats my flowers.

Fall is Here in Ohio. I love everything about FALL. I love the mild weather, the leaves turning colors, apple picking, apple pies, pumpkin pies, Thanksgiving and of course football season. I love these lilies. The only thing about them is that they don't bloom all summer long. They bloom and then shortly after that they die out and are done til next year. They are very fragrant........

We had our fence put in during Fall. Well, the folks that put our fence in threw all this dirt on top of my Clematis and also on some of my Lilies. I could have screamed...... well, I thought that these lilies were gonners and up pops one and it opened this morning. I guess that extra dirt didn't hurt them one bit. I love the light yellow and pink together!! Definitely another pretty one.

Rocket City - WOW, look at the colors on this Daylily!! Blooms in midsummer and grows to be 36" tall. The orange flowers with the burnt-orange eye zone grow to be 6" in size. I just love the bright colors.... I get that from my Grandpa Jack.
